What happens before your carpet is cleaned?

There are several things that need to be don, before your carpet is actually cleaned. Good carpet cleaners, such as the ones recommended at QuickerCleaner and Coit, will do all of these.

Here is what needs to be done, before the steam cleaner touches the carpet. If you find a serviceman that won’t do all of these steps, look elsewhere:

  1. Walk-through
First off we will inspect the floors to be cleaned and identify any problem areas, which can include heavy soiling, hard to clean stains, damaged carpet or pet urine. If needed, we are going to talk with you about the things we can do to address these.
  2. Getting your furniture ready
We’ll move light house furniture prior to beginning the cleaning process. Please note, that we conform with our industry’s safety specifications when moving furniture around.
  3. Pre-vacuuming
We will pre-vacuum your carpeting and rugs with a commercial vacuum to remove a lot of the loose soil that’s generally in the fabric.
  4. Pre-treating
A preconditioning agent is used to break up soiling and various other spots for a thorough cleaning. Tricky spots are pre-treated with specialized spotting agents, to raise the chance of removal during the steam cleaning phase.

Doing the above is necessary, if you want to keep your carpet looking new and feeling fresh for many years to come.

After all, superior carpet cleaning isn’t straightforward. IICRC certified cleaning professionals use a 9 stage process when cleaning the carpets in your home. Don’t settle for less.
